Gurukul Institute of Pharmaceutical science & research
The Gurukul Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & research was set up in the year 2008 with the objectives to provide quality education and Practical Training Pharmaceutical Science field and to serve the community by educating pharmacists to improve health care system. The Institute is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal and approved by AICTE & PCI, New Delhi.
The infrastructure of GIPSR has been designed to cater to the needs of the students and help them develop overall skills required to face the challenges in the field of pharmaceutical science. The well-equipped infrastructure at GIPSR, with ready access for students, fulfills this need. More than 200 students have been placed in several national or multinational pharmaceutical companies.
Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA) awarded our two students, Sunny jain and Rakesh jain by gold medal for their outstanding academic performance. Gurukul Institute of Pharmaceutical science & research offers Bachelor of Pharmacy (4 year degree program) and Diploma in Pharmacy (2 year diploma course).
the library comprises of approximately 5060 books with more than 200 titles. The Institute has subscribed to 15 international and national journals. As a member of DELNET, our students have access to 83,69,310 bibliographic records, 33,546 periodicals along with a huge range of CD ROMs and e-books.
GIPSR Laboratories The laboratories at GIPSR consist of all the latest equipments and software required for practical as well as theoretical learning as per AICTE & PCI Norms. The institute have following laboratories,
Pharmaceutical Chemistry Lab These labs are used to impart education about the composition and development of various types of chemicals which can be used as medicines.
Pharmacognosy Lab This lab handles drugs that are obtained from plants origin.
Pharmaceutics Lab These laboratories help students to learn the art of formulating and manufacturing of Pharmaceutical dosage forms. Here, the students also learn about different dosage forms of medicines– tablets, capsules, ointments, emulsion, injections etc.
Machine Room As the name indicates this lab is equipped with machines that are required for basic drug manufacturing or formulation training.
Pharmaceutical Analysis Lab Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory has been designed to make students aware about the quality checkup of drugs.
Human Anatomy & Physiology Lab For the students all necessary apparatus are available in this lab to conduct regular experiments and pathological tests that give them the basic practical knowledge, important for understanding the human anatomy and physiology.
Microbiology Lab The microbiology laboratory is designed for students that can learn the techniques of handling microbes and study their behavior.
Pharmacology Lab In this lab student learns about the action of drugs by performing experiments on animal, software’s as well as in-vitro.
Computer Lab The computer Lab has about 40 computers that are fully equipped with modern software, to keep the students up-to-date with the fast changing needs of the pharmaceutical industries.
Medicinal Garden The Institute has developed a medicinal garden where students can easy access various medicinal plants to conduct their experiments.. In this era of herbal formulation and therapy, it has become a necessity to provide all information about medicinal properties of plants to students to make them acquainted with plants and thereby generate their interest in herbal medicines.
